Job Report Pro ships on five platforms. This page tracks where each one is, what has been fixed along the way, and what is waiting on a store review.
Closed testing is complete. The app is now with Google Play for its final review before public release.
Version 2.0, with the latest changes, is with Microsoft for certification and will publish as soon as it passes. Until then version 1.0.8 stays live on the Store, free.
Store listing →Live on its own domain, running the full app in a browser with nothing to install. Changes are under way, and version 2.0 will be live soon.
Open the app →Version 1.0.6, covering both iPhone and iPad, is approved by Apple and cleared for the App Store.
Approved by Apple and cleared for the Mac App Store.
Version 2.0 is with Microsoft for certification, which usually takes a few hours and at most three working days. It publishes automatically once it passes. It brings the fixes from client testing to Windows: the PDF button in the Job Room tab with the same options as the mobile app, recent jobs that open from the dashboard, and company email, phone and address in Settings, printed on PDF reports.
The new iPhone & iPad version, 1.0.6, has passed Apple's review and is cleared for the App Store.
Closed testing on Android is complete, and the app is now in Google Play's final review. The new iPhone & iPad version, 1.0.6, is with Apple for review. On Windows the current version stays live while version 2.0 is prepared, and version 2.0 of the web app will be live soon.
Everything raised while recording the instruction videos, with what was wrong and what has been done about it. These changes are in progress and will be released soon.
IssueThere are two ways into a job's chat: the Job Room tab, and opening a job from the calendar. Only the calendar route had the PDF button, so getting a PDF meant going Dashboard → calendar date → job → Job Room every time.
FixEvery job in the Job Room tab now has the PDF button at the top, with the same options as before: full chat or images only, original or compressed.
IssueThe recent jobs list under the calendar was display-only, so clicking or double-clicking a job did nothing.
FixA single click on any recent job now opens that job's Job Room.
IssuePDFs were built to show the company's address and phone number, but Settings had nowhere to enter them, so only the email appeared.
FixSettings now has a Company details section for company email, phone number and address. They print under the company name on every PDF. After updating, fill these in once.
IssueA job added for a past date showed under Available jobs but had no dot on the calendar. The calendar was going by the day a job was posted rather than the day it is scheduled for.
FixThe calendar now uses the scheduled date, so every job shows on its own day, past or future.
IssueThe job list showed the date each job was posted, so every job posted on the same day showed that same date, whatever date was picked for it.
FixEach job now shows the date it is scheduled for.
IssueThe phone calendar did not mark today.
FixToday is now circled, as it already was on the Mac.
Job Report Pro passed Microsoft Store certification and is published — anyone can download it on Windows now, free. Apple has also approved the Mac app, so it is cleared for the Mac App Store.
That is four of the five platforms done: Windows, iPhone, Mac and the web. Android is the last one, still in closed testing.
Through App Store review and cleared for release. The iPad layout is the remaining piece of work on Apple's side; on iPhone the app is complete.
Microsoft's review raised three points. Two are already cleared: a list that would not scroll when it had more rows than fitted on screen, and sign-in appearing to freeze on a network that cannot reach our servers, which now stops and explains itself instead.
The third was the subscription. The Store requires any way of spending money to be declared, and the Windows version was still showing upgrade options even though subscriptions can only be bought on iPhone and Android. Rather than declare a purchase that cannot happen there, Job Report Pro is now free on Windows and Mac, with every feature included and nothing to buy. Resubmitted the same day.
Apple's first review asked for a Terms of Use (EULA) link on the App Store listing, which auto‑renewable subscriptions require. The link has been added to the listing and the app is back with the reviewers. No change to the app itself was needed.
The first Microsoft Store review raised a handful of points; those have been fixed and version 1.0.6 is back with their reviewers.
Sent to Apple this morning, and now with the Mac App Store reviewers alongside the iPhone build.
The build is with Apple's reviewers. Apple usually come back within one to three days, and it can be released as soon as it passes.
New screenshots and a new description on the App Store listing. Every support and policy link has been replaced — both inside the app and in App Store Connect — so they now point at our own domain rather than the old Google Sites pages: support, privacy policy, account deletion and terms.
The site now runs on www.jobreportpro.app rather than a hosting subdomain, with a secure certificate and the plain address redirecting to it. The web app is otherwise complete — the one piece still to come is the payment system.
Support and the terms and subscription policy were still hosted on a free Google Sites page. Both now live on our own domain, alongside the privacy policy and account deletion pages, and are linked from the footer of every page — which is also what the app stores ask for when they request a support URL.
Microsoft's reviewer reported that our website and privacy policy links “did not resolve to a functional website”. Both were online and responding normally, so we traced what the reviewer actually saw: the site downloaded about 12 MB before it could draw anything, leaving a blank white page for 40–60 seconds. Anyone opening that would reasonably call it broken.
The site now shows the Job Report Pro branding, tagline and links immediately, with the app loading behind it, and it works with JavaScript turned off. Resubmitted the same day with a note explaining the cause.
On Windows and Mac the sign-in and registration screens put a narrow column in the middle of an otherwise empty window — and that is the first thing someone sees after installing. They now use the full width: branding and key features on one side, the form on the other.
A single 19 MB installer so the team can install and test the Windows app without waiting for the Store. No administrator password needed, and it adds a Start Menu shortcut and an uninstaller.
Google now requires Play Billing Library 8 or newer. The app was on 7.1.1 via its subscription provider, so the upload was blocked. Updated to 8.3.0, with the one affected piece of purchase code adjusted and retested.
Google Play requires a public page explaining how to delete an account. Added, covering both the in-app route and an email request, and stating plainly what is removed and what the company keeps.
Signed release bundle uploaded to Google Play and moved into closed testing, with the app icon and store assets prepared.
App name reserved, package built and validated, listing written with screenshots taken from the real Windows app, and an age rating of 3+ / Everyone obtained across every rating board.
Required by every store. Covers what the app collects, who can see it, how long it is kept and how to have it removed.
Applied across all five platforms — app name, home screen label, window title, website and store listings.
The payment system. Subscriptions are the one part of the product not yet finished. The web app is otherwise complete and live.
Version 2.0 on Windows and the web. Windows 2.0 is in Microsoft's certification, and web 2.0 will be live soon. Both carry the fixes from client testing.
Android release. Android is in Google Play's final review.
